Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady.

So, My Fair Lady is one of the shows I had to watch for Musical Class. I had never seen it before and had low expectations, and ended up liking it very much. I shall be writing one of my papers on it.

To get more information from the paper, I really needed to watch it a second time. Then I ended up listening to it because I started drawing (pausing every once and a while to write down important quotes are ideas).

I'm not sure how much it looks like Audrey Hepburn. Certainly not the way most of us are used to (we usually see her a little more glamorous). But I wanted to show the true persona of Eliza, who humbley wanted the simple things in life, even after she learned to be refined.

Taken with a digital camera, because I am at school. Also, all smudging was done with a Q-tip (minimal resources)

And to top it off, "Wouldn't it Be Lovely?" I originally wanted to draw a certain still from this song, but could find it. It's her stance and face when she says "Who takes good care of me," I love it for some reason (however, it's too blurry in the clip to appreciate). This is a clip from the film, but Audrey Hepburn is singing! She was dubbed in the original version, but someone overlapped her audeo. She's not professional, but carries the tune decently enough. Bless her efforts: [link]

Yes! I agree that something is off with the eyes. Not sure what yet, but I'm thinking about it...

Thanks for the comment!

This is so amazing! Although it is not my favorite movie of hers. (my mom and I just can't see her ending up with the professor because in the original play she doesn't) Anyhow I have done a couple dances to the music and really like it.

I'd want more than a rope in front me. LNI was a little lax back then.

Thanx so much! I really need to see some other Audrey Hepburn films. Can you recomend any?

Gosh, it is hard to think off the top my head. Breakfast at Tiffany's is a good one. I recently learned that it is also a book and want to read it.

Oh yes! That is a famous book, and I've heard it was a movie. I'll have to check it out!

Way to go! I like the texture and how you drew her. My Fair Lady is an awesome musical, I love the horse race, and the part where they're training her.
