. because I just didnt memorize the structure Mt Rainier Okay. So now the drawing. I have been planning this drawing for about a year now. The one in my head was much more detailed and very professionalmy mind ALWAYS sets the bar too high. I try very hard. Last year, I made a drawing for my Grandma, Narrows Pod ([link] ). It took a mighty long while, but Grandma liked it, and that was the intent! Course I could have drawn a polka dot on a mulched up cardboard box and she would have loved it; the grandkids can do no wrong. This year, it is Grandpas turn! I wanted to use deer for the animal, because he loves deer, and needed some sort of fixture of Washington State (like the Narrows Bridge in Tacoma). So this time I used Mt. Rainier! The ground is terrible. I have been worrying about it for days and could not dream up any elegant techniques. So I just looked out my backyard window and sketched out what I saw (making it a tad greenerWashington gets a lot of rain a LOT of rain .). There may or may not be yakas in Washington, but they are littered in my backyard. We can pretend it is some other plant for the sake of location. I didnt have a good idea for the trees either. Hence the scribbles. Backgrounds are not my thing. If you go through my gallery, this is one among only 3 14x17 drawings in full color (detailedsome are just solid color backgrounds, I dont count these). Thats about 5 years worth of drawings. Im lazy. Like most of my drawings, you need to stand far away for it to be its best. The closer, the worser. NO full view please! Haha. In conclusion, I like Muledeer. They are my friends. |

Y' know, you remind me of a poem I can't remember, and a song that may never have existed, and a place I'm not sure I've ever been to.
