Reindeer 2007

Reindeer 2007! Hurray!

Every year since 2001, I have been illustrating our family's Christmas LetterHead. Quality varies from year to year. This one I'm not horrifically happy with because of all the errors.

Each year, one Reindeer is the trickster, and the other is the victim. The yellow reindeer is supposed to be removing and eating the snowman pieces, but I don't think I made this very clear. If you look carefully, you can see that the darker reindeer is cross with her, but I think I should have shown a half-eaten radish on the ear instead of a complete one (because now it looks like she is simply putting it on, when she is in fact taking it off).

Other peeve: Dasher was supposed to have wider white on his neck. When coloring him, I KNEW something looked funny, but I couldn't put my finger on it. My sister pointed it out after I was finished. Oh well, it cannot be fixed, just pretend you see more white, haha.

Last year Dasher (left) was the mocker, so this year he is the mockee. Dancer is the mischeif maker, and is on the right (where all my mischeif-making reindeer have stood). The genders switch each year, so Dancer is female (in my characters-- in real life I think they are all supposed to male, dunno).

Like most years, my dad came up with the concept. As a matter of fact, the only 'scripts' I've written were for 2001 and 2002. After that, I was out of ideas!

Anywho, hope it is passable.
