This piece is done in prismacolor pencils. It is based on a book called 'The Sight,' by David Clement-Davies. For those of you who have read it, the featured characters are Larka, Kar, Fell, Morgra, and Krarr, with the castle in the beginning and some of the Transylvanian wilderness.
Kar turned out differently then I had hoped. The picture in my head has fur with fewer hints of red, and to me reflects another character called Khaz.
This is the bect novel I ever read!! The first ever to have me shed a tear and blather about until I drove my friends mad (I do that with a lot of books, though). If you haven't heard of it, you have now; read it!!
Edit (12/6/05): Thanx to all who helped give this pic 50 faves!!! I feel so honored!
Edit (4/27/06): Thanx to all who gave The Sight over 1000 views!!!!!
Thanx! Glad you like it!! I'm impressed with your work as well. I'm all over your style; it's awesome! The eyes resemble those of The Lion King (my favorite movie). I love that you are getting to a lot of The Sight characters, and even some Fire Bringer! See ya 'round!

Omigod, this is gorgeous! I am so watching you now.
And I'm also going to this!
Lol, I know whatcha mean - everyone at school is always like, "Oh my God, you're so obsessed with wolves/The Sight!" but 'sall good, since it's a great book! I cried during it too.. well, this reread I did, but never before, for some reason. *sniff* It's so sad, isn't it?
I think you'll be surprised to find a much larger fanbase for this novel then you had expected
More fans? Really?? I'd love to find them!! I'm trying to join a club on deviant art, actually, I think you are a member of it come to think!!
Yep, everyone accuses me of being obsessed, oh well! I got one kid to read it (though she was gonna anyway; Kenyi or Kereal on the proboard Sight) and got another to get through the first 12 pages (whoopdi doo).
I went to your account earlier today, and NEETO!! I can't choose what I want to put on my favorite's list!!
I balled my eyes out the first time I read it. The second two I just got choked up ...
See ya 'round!

Wow! I'm touched! (Your comment about my gallery, hehe ) As you can tell, I'm rather obsessed with wolves.
*cough* Anyways.. yeah. It's an easy book to get choked up while reading, and not just because of all the deaths - it's just written so beautifully, I even cried a bit when Kar brought Larka the pig meat, as stupid as it sounds, cuz it was just written so amazingly amazing!! I really wish they could have had pups at the end, but I guess she did have to die, to make the story as wonderful as it did.
Do you have MSN Messenger? I'd like to talk with you about TS if you'd like to do that
I know. Half of me really wanted to see the cubs of Kar and Larka. It would have been the happiest thing in the world. But, as you said, it wouldn't have been as moving in such a way.
Did you know that someone on The Sight proboard got a hold of D C-D's e-mail? He said he was goona write a sequal, called Fell. REALLY EXCITING!!
I'm afraid that I do not have MSN. But my e-mail is orca-whale@whale-mail.com
See ya 'round!

Lol, I know, Morrow and Keechak (? I believe it was her) both got "emails" from D C-D. When I met (she's not on the Proboards site anymore ) in RL the other day (), we discussed the probability of the emails being forged by psycho fangirls who wanted to "pretend" they got an email from David. I honestly don't believe it, although I do believe strongly there is going to be "Fell"!
Really? I thought it sounded convisncing. But of course, it would be easy to pretend. Oh well, I am gullable!! YaY!! Why did your friend leave The Sight proboard?
See ya 'round!

It was indeed convincing. You aren't gullable; it's just, I'm not very trusting because of some things that have happened in my past.
She left because homework was getting to be a real nuisance, and although she worships David Clement-Davies and all things TS, she couldn't find the time to get onto the Proboards site as much!
I'm going to send you an email at that address you left me earlier, too!
